TSN to Broadcast Slo-Pitch Border Battle and Women's Fastpitch Games! 

Softball Canada is extremely pleased to announce that The Sports Network (TSN) will air three KFC World Cup of Softball V games on tape delay featuring the 2010 ISF XII Women's World Championship Bronze medallist Canadian Women's National Team. The first round-robin game against the United States (ISF World Championship Gold medallists) will air at midnight EDT on July 23rd; the second round-robin game between the two teams will air on July 25th at 11:30pm EDT; and the Championship Game will air on July 27th at midnight EDT. In addition, the Slo-Pitch Border Battle between Canada and the United States will air LIVE on July 24th at 4:00pm EDT on TSN. The Canadian Women's National Team is coming off a Bronze medal finish at the recently completed ISF XII Women's World Championship, which was Canada's second ever medal at the event and first won by the Women's National Team program (the previous medal was won by the 1978 Doc's Blues club team). To reach the medal round, Canada came from behind by scoring three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to eliminate Australia, and later scored the game's only run in the bottom of the seventh to beat China 1-0. At the 2009 Slo-Pitch Border Battle, Canada jumped out to a 16-8 lead against Team USA heading into the bottom of the fourth inning, but the Americans battled back to take the 30-23 victory.   These should be exciting games, be sure to tune in and cheer on Canada!
