Lewis Impresses with Solid Iron Play for Second Career LPGA Title

Norcross, GA – (April 30, 2012) - Mizuno Brand Ambassador Stacy Lewis captured her second LPGA victory by one stroke on Sunday, outplaying a charging field to claim the Mobile Bay LPGA Classic in Mobile, Alabama.  Lewis relied on her strong iron and wedge play coming down the final stretch, hitting an impressive Mizuno MP T-11 wedge on the 16th hole that left a two foot birdie putt, which Lewis capitalized on.

Displaying poise and consistent play all week, Lewis claimed her first title of the season with the help of her Mizuno JPX-800 Pro irons, MP T-11 wedges, MP-650 hybrid and fairway wood, and JPX-800 driver.  Lewis started the final round with a two shot lead, which grew to five after back-to-back birdies on the first two holes, but had to fend off Lexi Thompson’s hot streak on the back nine to capture the championship.

“We are excited to congratulate Stacy on her second LPGA victory,” said Dick Lyons, Vice President and General Manager, Mizuno USA Golf.  “We are thrilled to support Stacy and are honored that this two-time LPGA champion trusts the performance of Mizuno products.  She is a wonderful representative of our Brand.”
